Maria Machita has to deal with a lot of heartache in this short musical film; her father dies in an accident, her mother perishes in the theatre, and her sweet Turkish boyfriend is leaving the country. The four band members become conductors on a train filled with characters and (impersonated) actors from the 1930s, such as W.C. Fields, Dracula, and Scarlett O'Hara. Various songs are featured. The singing conductors are obliged to solve a mystery; Marlon Brando is murdering Nelson Eddy, Jeanette McDonald and others by suffocating them in his armpits. A wacky funeral, a fight with a gorilla, and the threat of being turned into a wax museum figure are all part of Harry's dream.

Wind of Freedom

Based on the operetta of the same name by Isaak Dunayevsky. The port town of one of the small southern countries. After the Nazi occupiers left, the port's berths were empty, the steamers did not smoke, cargo cranes stood. Fearing retaliation for collaborating with enemies, port owner Georg Stan fled the city. After waiting a while and securing the support of local authorities, Stan nonetheless returns - and loading operations begin in the port. While loading oranges, the sailor Yango and the beautiful Stella are preparing for the wedding. Suddenly, Stan makes a proposal to the girl and tricks her into agreeing. Upon learning of the deception, the girl runs away to Yango. Having discovered weapons intended to support fascism in the drawer of the hold, the heroes do everything possible to make the boxes fall to the bottom of the sea.

When Frank Met Carlitos

According to an anecdote that has been going around the Internet for several years, in 1934 Gardel was performing on NBC in New York when he was introduced to a young admirer who was eager to meet him. As it turns out, he was none other than 19-year-old Frank Sinatra. Nobody is certain about whether that meeting happened or not but rumor has it that during the night, Gardel and Sinatra were locked in a dressing room together.
